How many businesses and flat roof homeowners still have bitumen on their roofs? Far too many.
Bitumen typically fails within 18 months — sometimes even sooner. Why? Because bitumen was never designed to be exposed to the sun. It is intended for underground foundations, where it is backfilled and protected from UV rays.
Ask your contractor what product they use on flat roofs. Their answer will quickly tell you whether you have the right contractor for the job.
So, what should be used instead?
Our proven solution is PCT 36 — our high-performance Penetrating Waterproofing Cementitious Slurry. For cracks and joints, we recommend our Penetrating Waterproofing Binding and Bonding Liquid (PCT Plaster Key).
